Gun care should be done continuously throughout the year, but once a year a proper cleaning of the gun is recommended. Then you have the opportunity to detect problems and you know you have a working gun when you going hunting or if you are going to the shooting range.

It is good to at least once a year dimantle the gun and clean it properly. Dirt have a strange ability to accumulate in a firearm during a whole season.

Do not forget to clean the optics. Has your optics illuminated recticel maybe a battery change is needed? If you have a gun silencer, cleaning it can also be good to do now.
